Founded by Ashley and Charlotte, Duet is the union of two floral creatives looking to build community and offer our brand of beauty to the world together.

Two is better than one

After working in the floral industry for a combined twenty years and crushing on each other’s work, we decided to combine our established floral design studios to found Duet Botanical in January 2022.

With the alignment of design styles, love of color, and drive to push creative boundaries, together we remain continually reinvigorated and inspired in our designs. You can find Charlotte and Ashley’s work in multiple publications both print and online in Vogue, Brides, California Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, 100 Layer Cake, Wedding Sparrow, Inside Weddings, Todays Bride, and Grey Likes Weddings.

Charlotte

Charlotte’s passion for flowers started in her grandmother’s garden in the English countryside, led her to found her own floral design studio (Charlotte & Daughters), and  continues today with a celebration of our perfectly imperfect natural world.  She finds home working in the creation of whole from parts, in creating relationships where there were only whispers of connection, and in sharing a passion for the natural beauty surrounding us. Charlotte’s work has been featured in Vogue, Brides Magazine, People Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Wedding Sparrow, Inside Weddings, Todays Bride, and Grey Likes Weddings

Ashley

After going to school for graphic design, it felt necessary for Ashley to be immersed in a creative field that utilized a hands-on approach to color studies, movement and layering. Having grown up in a family running small businesses, it only seemed natural she follow that path. Wild Club was a wayward creative outlet that eventually focused on floral design as a way to combine Ashleys artistic expressions with an affinity for hospitality. Ashley’s work has been featured in Vogue, Brides Magazine, People Magazine, California Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, and 100 Layer Cake.

The team

We are lucky to work with a team of floral designers and event producers to style out each event, bringing their own artistic efforts and experiences to each created moment.

Sustainability

For us, sustainability means that we are intentional and purposeful in our approach to all floral design. Continually considering the current and future health of our environment, our people and our community. This means using locally grown, seasonal flowers and greenery to support local communities, reduce carbon emissions through shipping, buying from fair wage practicing farms that also use pesticide free farming, and composting all our organic materials. Floral foam is a massive pollutant that we have vowed for many years to never use in our design practices. We are forever educating ourselves on more sustainable installation ideas that cut out single use plastics, such as zip ties, and increasing reusable mechanics.

Our hope is to inspire our clients and other florists to make meaningful changes in the floral industry.
